Littleclouds is a small up coming brand that focuses on design & function through fabric & paper. What started in London, UK is now progressing in Hong Kong — all created from the small (don’t knock it) spare room.
Upon graduating in studies of graphic arts and illustration in London and setting up my own DIY print studio I was desperately sourcing more environmentally friendly sundries than what I was accustomed to at University. I can’t remember how I came across Permaset inks, but I remember first thinking that they sounded too good to be true.
My problem with previous inks was that they were too translucent & quick to dry in my screens which is quite frustrating & time consuming to rectify in any circumstance, but particularly in a DIY set up like mine.
Permaset Fabric inks are much more opaque and vivid which not only saves time and money but that in itself is friendlier to the environment, using less ink + better quality prints = wasting less. I don’t know if I am imaging this but I swear there is even a nice smell when I iron my fabric that’s been screen printed, somebody please agree so that I know I’m not crazy!?

I COMPLETELY agree about the smell! I love the smell of american apparel shirts and permaset ink being ironed! youre not crazy.
Have you used the ink on paper? How did you heat set it? I would like to try it on a letter press (on paper and fabric) – would the consistency allow for fine relief printing?
